Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

The extremely underrated Gary Oldman scored his first (what the?) Oscar nomination for this spy thriller based on the 1974 novel. That same book also sparked a late ‘70s TV show, starring Alec Guinness. Talk about some big shoes to fill! Oldman does just fine, though, with the help of Colin Firth, Tom Hardy and John Hurt.

What it is lacking in extras, it makes up for in its 1.85:1 transfer and DTS-HD Master Audio track. The 2-disc set also includes a standard-def DVD and a Digital Copy.
