Hop

Universal has been clenching for quite some time with this one. Released into theaters in April 2011, Hop was a flop with critics. It didn’t really matter, though; it was huge at the box office. That’s probably because there hasn’t been a good Easter movie since It’s the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown. Oh, it also has plenty of furry creatures, one of which has the voice of Russell Brand.

Universal is so pumped about the pre-Easter release of this Blu-ray, it’s getting one of those extra-special Friday releases—so don’t expect to see it in stores until March 23. When you do, it should have a bunch of games, a new short (“Phil’s Dance Party”), a 1.85:1 aspect ratio, DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 audio, a standard-def DVD, a Digital Copy, and an UltraViolet copy.

Rating: PG
Runtime: 95 minutes
Total Number of Discs: 2
Studio: Universal Pictures
