Here’s looking at you, kid—in high-def! So this isn’t the first time that Warner has released the classic on Blu-ray. However, it should be the best version you can possibly get. In honor of the film’s 70th birthday, the studio has restored the 1.37:1 image, left well enough alone with a DTS-HD Master Audio Mono track, and beefed up this box with more than 14 hours’ worth of extras.
Also expect just as many goodies inside the box, including a 62-page book, a movie poster and four collectible coasters. And yes, they will be collectible, since Warner Bros. only plans to crank out 50,000 of these limited-edition anniversary sets.
