Audio Doctor

At Audio Doctor, a New York dealer in hi-fi and home integration, we checked out KEF’s magnificent Blade speakers connected to Chord electronics (including a CPA 5000 pre amp and Chord amp).  The KEF’s are unique-looking speakers and have some unique features to back up those looks.  The cabinets are built from sculptured glass-reinforced composite. Each speaker includes four side-mounted 9-inch woofers and a mid/high Uni-Q point-source driver.

While they were played a bit too loudly for the small hotel suite, the sound was full, detailed and dramatic. Mid and low ranges were solid and contributed to the wide soundstage.
