Sound By Singer Room 1

New York A/V dealer Sound By Singer had two rooms at the show. In this first room, VAC components dominated the scene. The system included a VAC Signature MK IIA Tube Pre-amp, VAC Statement 405S stereo amps, Verity Audio Amadis Speakers with Nordost cables tying it together.

We listened to part of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue from a PC connected to a Playback Design DAC. The sound had a distinctive music hall feel, but with a very up-front soundstage. Later we switched to an Allison Krauss CD. Her voice sounded classic and rich while the horns had that airiness you look for in a high-end system.

The total cost of the system in this room was about $100,000
