Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston star as a couple checking out commune life in this completely underrated comedy from David Wain and Ken Marino. The writing duo may sound familiar for their work on 2008’s Role Models or the defunct MTV show The State. If you like that brand of comedy or anyone in this all-star cast, it’s at least worth a rental.
The 1.85:1 transfer delivers an image worthy of two A-listers, and there’s a surprisingly good DTS-HD Master Audio track to match. Also, the extras package is pretty hearty, with a commentary, multiple featurettes, and a complete re-edit of the movie titled, “Wanderlust: The Bizarro Cut.” (It is pretty bizzaro, by the way.) The 2-disc package also has a standard-def DVD and an UltraViolet Digital Copy.
