Deliverance

The classic thriller turns 40 this year. Feel old? This movie will make you feel like a fraidy cat again. In case you’ve blocked it from your memory, it tells the tale of four businessmen (Burt Reynolds, Jon Voight, Ned Beatty and Ronny Cox) on a weekend river ride that goes horribly wrong.

Warner Bros. released this movie on Blu-ray back in 2007, so there’s not much new on the 2.40:1 image. However, a nice little surprise is a new DTS-HD Master Audio track, which should keep you jumping. All of the extras have been ported over, with the exception of “The Cast Remembers,” which features the four original stars reminiscing about the movie.

Rating: R
