4K Video

Every few years TVs make a leap in resolution. This year we’re seeing a jump from 1080p to 4K (3840 x 2160) in TVs from LG and others, plus a couple of home theater projectors. This leap has a lot of people scratching their heads, because there’s no 4K material to watch, and most people can’t tell the difference between 720p and 1080p, anyway. Well, it makes a difference on super big screens, and manufacturers like Sony are jumping on the 4K bandwagon with a 4K upconverting Blu-ray player. Will there be 4K Blu (or some other color)-ray discs eventually? Probably, because if manufacturers can do it, they will.
