DLNA

We’ve gotten sloppy with our digital media, leaving it all over the house—music files on our smart phones,videos on our computers, pictureson our tablets… but where we really want to access that media is on the TV (such as this Toshiba L7200), while we’re sitting on the sofa. DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) is a technology that allows compatible devices to access stored media. Most of today’s smart TVs employ some form of DLNAso you can wirelessly play your PC stored music on your new TV, which is connected to your surround-sound system by an HDMI input with an audio return channel (ARC). What could be better than that? How about Apple’s AirPlay built into a TV? This hasn’t happened yet, but we’re pretty sure it will, and it just might come from a TV with an Apple logo on it.
