Friends with Kids

Jennifer Westfeldt (Kissing Jessica Stein) recruited a very impressive cast for her directorial debut. She stars alongside Adam Scott, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Chris O’Dowd and Jon Hamm in this funny rom-com about two friends (Westfeldt and Scott) that decide to have a child together. Of course, it has problems—as does this movie. That said, it’s entertaining, has a great cast, and is one of the better rom-coms we’ve seen in a while.

The film also has an above-average Blu-ray, with a nice 1.78:1 image and a DTS-HD Master Audio track to match. There’s also a few featurettes, including one with costar Megan Fox playing Gears of War and a commentary track with Westfeldt, Hamm, and director of photography William Rexer.
