This indie comedy comes from the director of Chocolat and the Oscar-winning screenwriter of Slumdog Millionaire. That’s probably how it snagged Ewan McGregor to play Britain’s leading fisheries expert, who is approached by a consultant (Emily Blunt) about bringing fly-fishing to the desert. Weird? Maybe, but the film also stars Kristin Scott Thomas and Amr Waked.
This release includes a 2.40:1 aspect ratio and a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track. Otherwise, the single-disc release has two featurettes, including a piece on the inspiration for the film, “The Fisherman in the Middle East: Novelist Paul Torday.”
