If you know the term “wall wart” power supply you probably know how noisy these products can be in how they deliver consistent, clean power. Pangea’s P-100 Power Supply is a $100 upgrade that ships with cables designed for use with Musical Fidelity and Cambridge Audio products, and it’s designed to replace wall-wart power supplies to provide products like Cambridge’s popular DacMagic with cleaner, more stable power. I hooked up a P-100 to my Cambridge Audio Azur 640P phono preamp and was pleasantly surprised with the difference the P-100 made. With the P-100 in place of the wall-wart power supply I got more bass extension and more top-end extension with added weight. Upper bass frequencies were also more prominent and the image opened up with the P-100 in place.
