One of the greatest thrillers of all-time is destined to become one of the best-selling Blu-rays of all-time. That’s because Blu-ray fans have been asking for this title since the dawn of the format. Steven Spielberg’s classic about a killer great white is still pretty darn scary, too. In case you were too busy covering your eyes, the film stars Roy Scheider, Richard Dreyfuss and Robert Shaw.
This long-awaited release was extremely worth the wait, with a 2.35:1 aspect ratio, a stellar DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 track, a standard-def DVD and an UltraViolet Digital Copy. There are a decent amount of extras, too—just not many new ones. It’s a nice selection, though, with deleted scenes and outtakes, two full-length documentaries and other tidbits. There’s also a must-see short on the Blu-ray’s restoration process.
