Aardman Animations, the same company that gave us Wallace & Gromit, are setting sail on a new adventure—with new characters, as well. When Pirate Captain (voiced by Hugh Grant) finds himself shunned by rivals Black Bellamy (Jeremy Piven) and Liz Cutlass (Salma Hayek), he sets his sights on the coveted Pirate of the Year Award.
You and your mateys are going to have to decide between the 3D or 2D on this one. Both sets have a 2.35:1 aspect ratio, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track, a DVD and an UltraViolet Digital Copy. The 3D set just adds in the 3D Blu-ray. Extras include a game, a peek at the filmmaking process, and commentary. The set also has three different short films, including “So You Want To Be a Pirate!”
