Bored to Death: The Complete Third Season

The acclaimed HBO series is going out with a bang—why exactly again? You’ll be left wondering why this show was cancelled, after spending some time with this set. It’s insanely sad, but also insanely funny, with Jason Schwartzman playing a NYC writer who moonlights as a detective. This season finds Schwartzman’s Jonathan being framed for murder, while friends George (Ted Danson) and Ray (Zach Galifianakis) deal with their own issues, including some “elder love.”

This 2-disc set features a nice 1.78:1 aspect ratio and a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track. And just because it’s the finale doesn’t mean that this release is packed with extras. However, you can expect plenty of deleted scenes and outtakes, as well as several episode commentaries.
