Laura Mitchell of GrandCare Systems shows off a blood pressure sensor that delivers readings to a touchscreen, which also displays grandkids’ photos, videos, news, Facebook and Skype. Texts can be sent to caregivers when someone hasn’t taken his or her blood pressure or glucose readings, for example. Even a medication box has a sensor that records when it is open, and the touchscreen tells what pills to take that day.
