Mom or Dad living at home? You can keep elderly parents from entering troubled spaces with a biometric fingerprint scanner. A pressure pad by the bed detects when someone has gotten up at night and raises light levels to 30 percent and sends a text alert to caregiver if that person doesn’t return to bed after a while. The bedroom also includes a Nest Learning Thermostat, which uses artificial intelligence to learn your patterns.
