Mitsubishi

The highlights from Mitsubishi’s projector division this year are the HC7900DW and HC8000D. HC8000D has a better contrast ratio at 330,000:1 (compared to the HC7900DW’s 150,000:1) but the HC7900DW has a 1,600 lumen rating, beating the other projector by 300 lumens. Both are single-chip 1080p DLP projectors. One their main selling points is what the company claims is “the industry’s best 2D-to-3D Frame Rate Conversion technologies” which may satisfy all the complaints of there not being enough good 3D to watch. Both can use universal 3D glasses, but the 8000 also supports Mitsubishi’s own proprietary glasses.
