Joss Whedon fans will feast upon the writer’s collaboration with co-writer/director Drew Goddard (Cloverfield). The film combines classic horror with the supernatural and even a little comedy. No, it’s funny in a good way. As you can imagine, this cabin has some creepy properties. It also has a great group of visitors, including Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth (Thor!), Anna Hutchison, Fran Kranz, Jesse Williams, Richard Jenkins, and Bradley Whitford.
The single-disc Blu-ray has a fun 2.40:1 aspect ratio and a great, immersive DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 track to keep you on the edge of your seat. Also expect audio commentary with Whedon and Goddard, a picture-in-picture commentary, a Wonder-Con Q&A and a few other short featurettes, as well as the film’s Digital Copy.
