The hit show’s third season isn’t its best. Is that ever the case? There are a lot of characters struggling for screen time and each one is getting a little more outlandish. Cameron and Mitchell want to add another baby, Jay and Gloria are dealing with raising Manny, and Phil and Clare are—well, Phil and Claire. Also expect that couple’s three kids to have more to do this season, as they get older. It’s a lot to take in, but it’s consistently funny, and still one of the best primetime comedies currently on TV.
The set includes a 1.78:1 aspect ratio, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track, and enough featurettes to please the show’s fans. Expect deleted scenes, a gag reel, and a few extras including “A Day on the Set With Ty,” “A Modern Family Christmas,” and more.
