Another awesome Steven Spielberg film gets another awesome Blu-ray release. This one is the classic story of a boy (Henry Thomas) and E.T., a special friend with out-of-this-world powers and a penchant for Reese’s Pieces. We’re happy to say that this film hasn’t lost one bit of magic over the years, with high-def technology making it that much more of an entertaining experience.
After 30 years, E.T. doesn’t seem like he’s aged a day—thanks to this wonderful 2-disc Blu-ray. Viewers can expect a restored 1.85:1 image, an immersive DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 track, a standard-def DVD, a Digital Copy, and an UltraViolet Digital Copy. As far as extras, there are plenty of reasons to celebrate this 30th anniversary release, with deleted scenes, a cast reunion, and several other featurettes, as well as the two new pieces, “Steven Spielberg & E.T.” and “The E.T. Journals.”
