Magical Mystery Tour

The Beatles’ third film is also the band’s most hated. It was basically a TV movie that was put together based on a few scraps of ideas and a lot of improv. Still, fans will want to snatch up this one simply because it serves as another notch in a Beatles collection and because it’s the film’s first Blu-ray release.

The single disc includes a 1.33:1 aspect ratio and a trio of audio options, including DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, Dolby Digital 5.1 and PCM stereo. There’s also a decent collection of extras, such as Paul McCartney commentary, a making-of short, a piece on Ringo as an actor, something on the supporting cast, deleted scenes, and an 8-page booklet.

Rating: NR
Runtime: 53 minutes
Total Number of Discs: 1
