Arthur Christmas

Aardman Animations, the same studio behind the Wallace & Gromit franchise, pulls back the curtain on Santa’s workshop for this all-star holiday extravaganza—or at least an extravaganza with an all-star cast of voices. Listen closely for the vocal talents of James McAvoy, Ashley Jensen, Bill Nighy, Hugh Laurie, Kim Broadbent, Laura Linney, Eva Longoria, Michael Palin, Joan Cusack, Andy Serkis, and many more.

The two-disc set has a 1.85:1 image, a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track, a standard-def DVD and an UltraViolet Digital Copy. There’s also a 3-disc set, which throws in a 3D Blu-ray version of the movie. Otherwise, expect two 13-minute featurettes about the production and an extra minute of animation in the “Elf Recruitment Video.”

Rating: PG
Runtime: 195 minutes
Total Number of Discs: 2 (2D version), 3 (3D version)
Studio: Sony
