For years, fans have been looking for this show to come to Blu-ray. Now, Warner Bros. is just releasing the entire thing in one massive 21-disc box set. The show that unleashed Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry on the world had its ups and downs—and so does this box set.
Yes, it does include all 10 seasons. However, there have been a lot of gripes about the episodes being the edited versions. In other words, you may want to hold onto your DVDs. Otherwise, expect a 1.78:1 aspect ratio across the set and a Dolby Digital 5.1 track. There’s also 17 hours of special features picked up from the DVD releases, which includes 31 episode commentaries, gag reels, deleted scenes, the uncut version of “Smelly Cat,” and several featurettes. Of course, Warner Bros. doesn’t want to completely anger fans, so they’re throwing in 3 hours of “new” content. That includes TV appearances, even more gag reels, The Rembrandts’ music video, and a new documentary with new interviews.
