The Expendables 2

The first round of ammunition apparently was not enough. Now, all of your favorite action stars are returning—and they’ve called for a little backup. The film’s roster reads like an action hero support group, with Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chuck Norris, Liam Hemsworth, Scott Adkins, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Yu Nan. With a lineup like that, do you really need a plot?

That probably won’t be necessary, once you get a gander at this Blu-ray. The single-disc release features a razor sharp 2.40:1 image and an ear-popping DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 track. Also, if you’ve outfitted yourself for DTS’ new Neo X 11.1 surround audio format, you’re in luck. This release isn’t just the first to be compatible with that type of setup, but it has the goodies that actually make being an early adopter seem worth it.

Other features include a commentary track with director Simon West, deleted scenes, a gag reel, a short about “The Real Expendables,” a featurette highlighting everyone in the movie, and more.
