Hot on the heels of the PBS special comes this quickie Blu-ray release. Ken Burns brings his brand of brilliant storytelling to the topic of the wheat boom on the southern Plains, which made for a major disaster in the U.S.—but also an excellent documentary.
The 2-disc Blu-ray includes a 1.78:1 aspect ratio and a Dolby Digital 5.1 track. There’s also a decent amount of extras, with additional interviews, as well as Burns giving his perspective on the project.
