Dennis Erskine, CEO of the Erskine Group, Atlanta, Ga., first heard of Procella speakers while working on a THX screening room. THX actually recommended the speakers for that room, and when Erskine heard them, he was sold. “[The manufacturer] paid very close attention to the crossovers between the tweeter and the midrange,” says Erskine. The speakers were designed by a former DTS director of technology who spent a lot of time tweaking for the best sound. They combine a compression driver
with a waveguide to produce what Erskine describes as “effortless and detailed” sound, even at high volume levels.
