Great design and killer A/V don’t happen by accident. But the star of the show in this theater, says Audio Video Design’s Ralph Quines, is the Lexicon MC-12HD surround-sound processor ($8,000), with an EQ option ($3,000). Lexicon is often the processor of choice in high-end home theaters, and for good reason. “The MC12 offers extensive room correction technology, great individual channel equalization, as well as future hardware and software upgrades,” adds Marcel Bendenoun of Audio Video Design. “We also love the dedicated LFE output to feed the subwoofers, giving us the depth and impact we were looking for in a theater this size. The Lexicon RX7 Amplifier ($6,000) is a great match with the MC12 processor and has plenty of horsepower to push the 10 Bay Audio PTM2 speakers in this theater.”
