Over the past couple of years the analog vinyl (LPs/records) audio format has been experiencing a major resurgence of interest. Today people are buying new and used vinyl at rates not seen since the 1980s and there’s an increasing need to take care of these records. Spin Clean’s MKII Record Washer System is available in two versions with the entry level system costing about $80 and the Spin Clean Record Washer Complete System costing about $125. The differences are largely in the amount of cleaning supplies the kits contain, but both solutions do the same thing: They clean records to a level not seen until the purchase of a vacuum-based cleaning system that costs substantially more. The Spin Clean products are easy to setup and use and they will in the case of some records actually enhance the quality of a user’s listening experience because of their ability to clean.
