Sharp LC-52SB55U at Circuit City

Isn’t Circuit City going out of business? Don’t expect fire sales. Instead, it looks like the company is jacking up its prices. This Sharp unit is big and beautiful, but it’s definitely not worth this price hike. Circuit City is advertising the LC-52SB55U for $1,499.99, which is a cool $400 off its regular retail price. That’s sounds super, until you realize that it’s $200 more than Best Buy is offering it today. Features include a 1080p picture, a 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a 6 ms response time, and four HDMI inputs. It could be gold plated, but it’s still not worth having to be anywhere at 5:00 a.m.

Circuit City’s Black Friday Price: $1,499.99
