Thanks to B&H, you can double your high-def pleasure with this single purchase. First start with Sharp’s 42-inch LC-42D65U AQUOS in all its 1080p glory. This one is a real beauty, providing a 2,000:1 native contrast ratio, (10,000:1 dynamic), a 4ms response time, and five HDMI ports. In case you get tired flipping through your provider’s HD offerings, the retailer is throwing in Sharp’s BD-HP21U AQUOS Blu-ray player. That boasts BD-ROM profile 1.1 support, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD decoding, and multi-format DVD playback capabilities. It’s not the best player out now, but it’s certainly a nice bundle.
Today at B&H Photo: $979
Elsewhere: Tech for Less has the screen for $911; there’s no player though.
